Watch out all you guys and girls! Its two days till April Fools Day. This is just a pre-warning so none of you gullible ones get caught out.
I had a friend at uni and her birthday was on April Fools day which is quite funny, poor girl we did tease her sometimes but she managed to laugh it off! Apparently April Fools day started off in France and they try and pin paper fishes to people’s backs on april fools. I think Italy do it too, never seen it over here though!
I think people are too highly strung in London, could you imagine trying to pin a fish on one of those city types on the tube or something. that would serve them right, they always look so miserable, always dressed in black and have a cloud of stress surrounding them!
Well, I’m not a very happy girl! The clocks have gone forward today, which is a bit annoying because i think that it shouldn’t be allowed on a weekend! I feel i have had an hour taken from me! It’s going to take a bit of time to get used to it because i think my internal body clock is going to be confused. However, its now the beggining of summer and longer days so you can’t really argue with that.
I was reading about the clocks changing and apparently Britain has only been doing it for less than a hundred years. It was some guy who suggested it because he liked to ride his horse but had to get up early as most of the daylight was in the morning! I think he was lonely because he never saw anyone else around on his rides so suggested to put the clocks forward in the summer! hehe. Its quite interesting to read about (here).
It’s going to start getting lots more fun in London now the clocks have gone forward - it will feel a lot nicer because i will be able to go out after work and stay out a bit later as it will be light. Hooray for the summer!
Guess what! I have today off work and I’m going to brighton for the weekend for a family members birthday. We are going to eat at a really lovely fish restaurant on Brighton Marina, its the best fish I have ever eaten. Then tomorrow I am going for drinks. Im looking forward to it should be good!
Just waiting for my boyfriend to get his stuff together cos he is coming too but he is taking ages and singing to himself. haha! he would be really embarassed if anyone heard his song!
I think i ate some dodgy sausages this morning, my stomach was not happy at all!
What a bad easter I am having. I have received a total of no easter eggs whatsoever. MEAN!

I have decided to look forward and not back from now on, people are starting to really annoy me as it turns out that you can’t trust anyone these days. I’m actually looking forward to going back to work on Tuesday, its more fun than thinking about all the sh*t in your life. I am really enjoying my new job. I think i will do it to get some more experience and then if i get bored, I’m going to go travelling or something. yay!
I guess having started a new job has taken it’s toll. Girl in London (yes, me) is ill! How bad. I feel like I’m getting the flu or something it’s really depressing. I hate being ill. I’m hoping I will be okay for easter because I am going to go home to Brighton and I dont particularly want to be with a cold. I’m at my boyfriends, he is out with his mates and I am so hungry but I’m achey and dont want to leave the house - so i am hoping he brings me a KFC on his way home. fingers crossed!!!

Wow, has anyone ever been to Borough Market in London Bridge. I went there yesterday (a busy Saturday) and it was AWESOME. The market is all about food, so dont go there expecting to buy clothes! There are so many fruit and veg stalls, along with meat/fish. It’s amazing, I have never seen so much fresh produce in one place! The stalls offer so much choice, you should see the amount of mushrooms you can buy from one stall! (see pic)
There were a lot of stalls offering burgers/hot dogs/chorizo rolls etc. They all smelled great, but I cant help but feel I was let down on this one occassion. I chose to eat at the corner grill which were cooking up burgers and hot dogs. At £3.80 a burger I thought it was quite pricey but I decided to get one anyway, thinking it would be the best burger I had ever eaten. Unfortunately the burger wasnt up to my high standards and tasted like it had been sitting on the grill for quite some time and wasn’t juicy at all
What a disappointment…. I’m sure I will go back to Borough Market in the near future so if you know of any better food stalls then post a comment.
Hi! I haven’t written on my blog for aaaaages! Well, it’s been about a week now. I have started my job as a buyers assistant on lighting. It’s going really well at the moment. They have plunged me in the deep end and I have sooo much to do, I am even considering going into work early tomorrow to get some stuff done! It’s great though and I get to be really creative which i think is very exciting. I have to do a cutting and sticking job tomorrow for 6 themes that we may be buying for, and I have to interpret the themes for the department. I would definately reccommend homeware buying over fashion buying, but that could just be me!

I was really hungover on Saturday. I didn’t think I would get too drunk on Friday night, but then i did…oops! Ha! I didn’t get into my house until 415am and then I woke up at 10am and I was soooooo hungover.
My favourite thing to eat when I am hungover is a salad. All i can think of is tomatoes with balsamic vinegar on them! I think its because I know that salads are healthy and after a big night out my body needs some vitamins or something. So I had chicken and salad wraps for dinner and then today I had a chicken salad. I’m sure I’ll be back on the McDonalds tomorrow. AHHHH i dont even want to think about tomorrow - its the start of my new job :-I
It’s Friday. Oh yes. I’m not getting the usual excitement and joy that a Friday would normally bring. It’s probably because I am not currently working (until next week) and rather than feeling excited, I am feeling nervous about the big day on Monday where I start back at work. Oh well.
I am feeling the massive Friday pressure to go out tonight and i really can’t be bothered. I’m not going to have a massive one, its my house mates birthday so i have to go. I think i’ll just stay at the pub for a few drinks and then go home when it closes, i really dont want to go to a club tonight. Not just that, but i am running out of money to be able to spend on drinking. and we all know drinking in london doesnt come cheap.
its my last weekday before i go back and start my full time job! how unfair… i’m going to go to oxford street soon after i get out of bed and help my BF pick out stuff for his new improved bathroom. I cant believe i start work on Monday, im really excited but also quite scared and a little bit nervous.
