Madame Tussauds

Tuesday, July 29th, 2008

I went to Madame Tussauds at the weekend. Was really good! The whole experience takes about 1 and a half hours. We went around the attraction fairly fast as we were trying to avoid the tourists. So we missed a few of the waxworks - brad pitt, angelina jolie etc. They have a ride type thing - you walk through what is meant to be the dungeons from old days and there are real live actors which scream in your face. Its pretty scary and not reccomended if you are hungover!!!

We saw the new waxwork of Amy Winehouse - see photo!

Also, there is a small ride at the end where you get into a mini london  taxi and takes you through lots of waxworks of elizabethan times through to the current day. Was really fun. Really would reccomend this as a day out but prob best to go when its quieter - on a weeekday early in the morning or something!

Birthday

Tuesday, July 15th, 2008

It’s going to be my 24th birthday soon! Can’t believe I am going to be 24. I never think of myself as being that old, i still feel about 20 or so. Even when i look at other 24 year olds i think there is no way that I look as old as them! ha!

Anyway, I am trying to think of places to go on my birthday. Think I will keep it around London maybe a day at the London dungeons would be good or Madame Tussauds. I’m still thinking about it.

I hope I get lots of presents. I am writing that on here in the hope my boyfriend reads this and buys me lots of things!!

Comedy Club

Monday, July 7th, 2008

Last weekend I went to the 99 Comedy Club on Leicester Square. My boyfriend and I got tickets on the door - there was only standing left and was £5 each. Pretty cheap and it wasnt so bad standing as we were drinking quite a lot of alcohol and probably forgot we were standing up.

The first guy was really funny. The second was an ozzie girl and she was crap. Not funny at all. The third guy started off funny but then went off on one about nothing and wasnt so funny. I would try it again tho as might have just turned out we went on a crappy night. It’s located on Leicester Square in a club called Storm. Quite a dingy place - looks a bit like a seedy club but was ok. Think we are going to try out the Comedy Store next so I’ll write on here once we have been.

Yummy Cooking

Monday, July 7th, 2008

I have started to cook at home loads recently.

Tonight I cooked a chicken stir fry with mange tout, corn, bean sprouts and sweet and sour sauce and it was really tasty! I think that if you cook at home it is probably better for you than eating out all the time but I dont think i am actually loosing any weight! booo! not that I am fat or anything but I would like to be a bit more trim for my next holiday in September.

also, I think I am a pro at cooking fajitas as well! Wow, i am really into food at the moment. Going to try and make some more fun stuff - I have my own pizza making kit so need to try that soon too!
